Water supply :

• Water supply system In Uluberia Municipality is run by Deep Tube Wells.  Providing only about 1000 street taps maintained by both KMWSA and the Municipality. The KMWSA has constructed a water treatment plant at ward -1, Jagadishpur . the capacity of production of purified water supply per day  : 10 MGD to supply at all the 29 wards through laying of water pipe lines. There is  2 overhead water reservoirs ,with  the  capacity of 1.2 MG and 0.8 MG  respectively , maintained by KMWSA. Besides, there are 1018 hands tube wells of average 700 feet, deep. there are three deep tubewells of the municipality.   Average water drawn per day is 8.0 mld which is far below the needs of the town.103.5  km. of pipeline laid by the KMWSA. Extension of pipeline is necessary to cover the area of willing consumers.
